California Council Inter-Coordinating Meeting

The annual Inter-Coordinating Council Meeting hosted by the Council Cabinet was held Saturday, February 8 at PRC Restoration Inc in Carson.

Our Council Director, Christine Chandler Tillett, PHR, CLP and her Cabinet provided the attendees with an agenda built around the theme of We Love IAIP!   As you can see by the photos the heart theme was all around us.

The meeting was an informal gathering of members with an open floor to share ideas, discuss concerns and to thank the outgoing Cabinet and introduce the incoming Cabinet.

In honor of Valentine’s Day, we sent handmade Valentine’s to retired Major Bill White, USMC who lives at a nursing facility in Stockton.  He is 104 years young and is a scrapbooker and all he wanted this year were Valentine’s from near and far. We were honored to participate in sending him IAIP love.

The agenda included presentations on Statement of Information, Banking for Nonprofits, Membership Counts, The Importance of Branding, Dues Increase and a fun team-building exercise.  Teams were assigned the task of making an I Love IAIP infomercial.  Both branding teams brought their 3-minute game to the table but for everyone to know IAIP, this was great.  Please share the video with your association or members and get IAIP out there.

Members shared upcoming events and news.  We received updates on the 2020 CA Council Meeting hosted by South Bay Association of Insurance Professionals and the Region VII Conference in March in Vancouver hosted by Members at Large and Friends.  It is our hope all members will offer to help by sharing conference flyers and links, attending the conferences, volunteering for a committee and perhaps being a sponsor.

It was a very successful ICC meeting and we hope you went away with more information than you came with.

Special thanks to Freddy Rodriguez for letting us use PRC Restoration Inc's training facility, Jody Nishida, Margaret Sameshima Lamadagan, CPCU, CPIW, DAE, and Kari Woods for all their help with set up, registration, lunch and of course the coffee!! A big THANK YOU to Regina Lemanowicz for finding the personal Community Action for retired Major Bill White, making the handmade Valentine’s and the wonderful Infomercial project (please share).

The Council Cabinet thanks you from the bottom of our hearts!
